Willowfields Energy Park

Sunset over solar panels

Exagen Group is seeking
to develop Willowfields Energy Park, a renewable energy project comprising a ground mounted solar photovoltaics (PV) array with
co-located battery storage.

The land available for development consists of several parcels of land located south-east of Kingston Bagpuize and northwest of Garford in Oxfordshire. Willowfields Energy Park will be a solar farm co-located with a battery energy storage system (BESS) connecting into an existing on-site overhead line located within the site boundary. The site will be sensitively designed within the land available, with input from local residents, planning experts and all relevant consultees.

We have now submitted a formal planning application to Vale of White Horse District Council. We seek to take an involved approach with the local community, building feedback into our project design.

Our planning application for the Willowfields Energy Park has been submitted to and validated by Vale of White Horse Council. Any representations or comments on the application from interested parties should be submitted directly to the council using the online form under the ‘Comments’ section on the application or in writing (letter or email) to Vale of White Horse District Council, Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JE or planning@whitehorsedc.gov.uk quoting the application reference number P24/V2698/FUL. Willowfields Energy Park Update

As a result of public and consultee feedback, we have made further updates to the project layout. The revised plan, attached, outlines the newly proposed design including our comprehensive landscape mitigation measures designed to address potential visual impacts. These measures feature significant new planting of trees and hedgerows, positioned to reduce visibility, while enhancing the surrounding environment. Another significant change includes the removal of solar panels and all other associated infrastructure from Field 1.

These changes have been submitted to Vale of White Horse District Council and can be found here – Willowfields Energy Park Application
