Warren Wood Energy Park

Warren Wood Energy Park is a renewable energy project comprising a ground mounted solar photovoltaics (PV) array with co-located battery storage (BESS).

The land available for development consists of one parcel of land located 1.5km to the north-east of Cawston, Norfolk. Warren Wod Energy Park will be a solar farm co-located with a battery energy storage system (BESS) connecting to the UKPN Salle substation via a cable, the route for which we are consulting on to confirm. The site will be sensitively designed within the land available, with input from local residents, planning experts and all relevant consultees.

We have now submitted a full planning application to Broadland District Council. Any representations or comments on the application from interested parties should be submitted directly to the council using the online form under the ‘Comments’ section on the application or in writing (letter or email) to Broadland District Council, The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich NR7 0WF or planning@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk quoting the application reference number 2025/1531. Appeal Submission and Consultation
Exagen has submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate, against the refusal by Broadland District Council of the planning application for our Warren Wood Energy Park.

This update is to notify the public of the consultation and to provide the contact details on how you can find out more and make comments.

The consultation is being facilitated by Exagen Development Ltd and responses to this consultation will be shared with the Planning Inspector who will consider the Appeal and BDC. Comments will be in the public domain and may be referred to during the Appeal.

Our planning application for the Warren Wood Energy Park has been submitted to and validated by Broadland District Council. Project Non EIA
Broadland District Council provided their EIA Screening Opinion following our request which confirms that the development is not considered EIA development and the planning application does not require an Environmental Statement be submitted as part of the planning application. This confirms that the development is not likely to have significant effects on the environment.
