   Appeal Submission and Consultation

   Exagen has submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate, against the refusal by Broadland District Council of the planning application for our Warren Wood Energy Park.

   This update is to notify the public of the consultation and to provide the contact details on how you can find out more and make comments.

   The consultation is being facilitated by Exagen Development Ltd and responses to this consultation will be shared with the Planning Inspector who will consider the Appeal and BDC. Comments will be in the public domain and may be referred to during the Appeal.

   Broadland District Council Refusal

   Planning Application refused on 3rd December 2025.

   Planning Application Number: 2025/1531.

3. 4 Jun 25

   Planning Application Validated

   Our planning application for the Warren Wood Energy Park has been submitted to and validated by Broadland District Council. Any representations or comments on the application from interested parties should be submitted directly to the council using the online form under the ‘Comments’ section on the application or in writing (letter or email) to Broadland District Council, The Horizon Centre, Peachman Way, Broadland Business Park, Norwich NR7 0WF or planning@southnorfolkandbroadland.gov.uk quoting the application reference number 2025/1531.

4. 20 May 25

   Warren Wood Energy Park Planning Submission

   We have now submitted a full planning application to Broadland District Council. Once the application has been validated, we will provide full details and links to the application where comments can be submitted.

   Post Consultation Amendments

   Following our public consultation event, we are collating all feedback and responses to refine our planned site layout.

   We will ensure to keep the community informed as we make progress and update our plans ahead of a planning submission.

7. 21 Mar 25

   Project Non EIA

   Broadland District Council provided their EIA Screening Opinion following our request which confirms that the development is not considered EIA development and the planning application does not require an Environmental Statement be submitted as part of the planning application. This confirms that the development is not likely to have significant effects on the environment.

   Drop-in Session - Cawston Village Hall

   The drop in event is hosted by our project team to discuss the project design, key information and to answer any questions.

   Door knocks with nearby properties

   Two members of the project team met with the most nearby  properties to the project to inform them of the proposals and discuss feedback.
