Emily White

Emily joined the Board and became CEO of Exagen in 2025. Emily has been working in renewable energy for over 20 years, having gained experience across all aspects of a project’s life cycle – from development to operations with a particular passion for creating and defining how an owner wants to construct or operate a project through its appointment of contractors, suppliers, or service providers. Emily has an international track record having worked across Europe and South-East Asia. Emily is also currently a director within Octopus Energy Generation where she leads on development projects and procurement activities across various teams and technologies. Emily’s previous roles have included being the managing director of an asset management company, being part of the leadership team for an IPP in Thailand, and being an Associate Director at the Green Investment Group (Macquarie). Emily holds a masters in engineering with financial management and is a chartered engineer.
